Information We Collect

We collect personal information you provide when requesting a quote, booking a survey, or contacting us. This includes your name, email address, phone number, property address, and survey requirements.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide surveying services, generate quotes, process payments, and communicate with you about your survey. We may also use it to improve our services and comply with our RICS regulatory obligations.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with third-party service providers who assist in delivering our services (e.g. payment processing, document signing), and with RICS where required by our regulatory obligations. With your agreement, we also share limited, scrambled contact details with Google and Meta to measure our advertising, as explained below.

Enquiries Through AI Assistants

You can ask an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude for a quote from us, request a call back, or, where the assistant supports it, book and pay for a survey. When you do, we receive only the details you choose to give the assistant for that purpose: your name, email address, phone number, property address and postcode, property value or size, the service you want and any message. We use them exactly as for an enquiry made on this website, to quote, to contact you and to carry out the survey, and keep them for the same periods set out below. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, and the assistant provider handles that conversation under its own privacy policy. Payments are taken by Stripe; we never see or store card details.

Cookies and Advertising

We use first party analytics (Google Analytics) to understand how the website is used; this does not need your consent under UK guidance and identifies no one. With your permission, given through the cookie choice shown on your first visit, we also set advertising cookies from Google and Meta so we can measure whether our adverts lead to enquiries and show relevant adverts to people who have visited the site. If you reject, no advertising cookies are set and the site works exactly the same. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie choices link in the footer.

Measuring Our Advertising

When you enquire or book with us, we may share your email address and phone number with Google and Meta in a scrambled (hashed) form. They use it only to match it against their own accounts, so we can tell whether an enquiry or booking came from one of our adverts and so we do not keep showing adverts to people who have already booked. Your survey details, property address and payment details are never shared for this purpose. We only do this where you have agreed to advertising measurement, either through the cookie choice on our website or when you accept a quote or book with us. You can withdraw that agreement at any time by emailing info@surveyorsorted.co.uk, and we will stop sharing your details for this purpose.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including satisfying legal and regulatory requirements. Survey records are typically retained for a minimum of 6 years in line with RICS guidance.
