These terms govern your use of the Surveyor Sorted website and our surveying services. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

Our Services

Surveyor Sorted Ltd provides residential and commercial property surveying services regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). All surveys are carried out in accordance with RICS standards and guidelines.

Quotes & Pricing

Quotes are provided based on the information you supply. We reserve the right to adjust pricing if the property details differ materially from what was described.

Booking & Cancellation

Bookings are confirmed once our Terms of Engagement have been signed and payment has been received. The cancellation and refund terms for each service are set out in its Terms of Engagement, which you sign before we start, and those terms take precedence over this summary.

For residential surveys and valuations booked as a consumer, you may cancel in writing at any time up to the close of business on the day before the inspection and in any event within fourteen days of entering into the contract. Refunds are made less a processing fee, and where you have asked us to carry out the service within those fourteen days you are responsible for the fees and charges incurred up to the date of cancellation.

For schedules of condition, measured surveys and other bespoke instructions, the fee is refundable less a 10 per cent processing fee if you cancel at least seven working days before the inspection, and is not refundable after that. Drone roof surveys are not refundable if cancelled within 48 hours of the flight, and a visit abandoned for weather is rescheduled at no charge. An abortive visit, where we attend and cannot gain access, is charged at 50 per cent of the fee.

For commercial instructions, including rent reviews, lease renewals and commercial building surveys, the cancellation period and any charge for work done are stated in the engagement letter or terms for that instruction, typically 48 hours before the inspection or, for desk-based work, before the work begins.

Nothing on this page limits your rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 or the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Survey Reports

Reports are prepared for the sole use of the instructing client and should not be relied upon by third parties without our written consent. Reports are delivered electronically via our client portal.

Liability

Our liability is limited in accordance with our Terms of Engagement and RICS requirements. We maintain Professional Indemnity Insurance as required by RICS.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
